Ford has redesigned the latches to stop this problem. The piece it latches to inside the car seems fine. Back rear passenger door will shut but not latch the latch seems fine you can moved the inside up and down. The door latches on the 2013 and up fusion are breaking causing the doors not to close especially the rear doors.

The door latch itself will have to be replaced to repair the problem. This is my 1st answer but does not have to be my only answer. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired. But we have seen a few front doors doing this also.
