There are usually three.
Assuming you re not getting near those voltages with the engine running you unplug the stator connector from the rectifier regulator.
It s the second two measurements that tell you if you re charging the battery and how much.
If it s only showing the battery 11 8v at 5k rpm then it s not charging.
